Site Background

The 1119 North Grant property currently includes a vacant, grass-covered lot with no on-site structures or improvements. Historical records document previous residential land use dating back to the early 1900s.

Findings

Terracon Consultants Inc. completed Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) of the property in January 2008. Phase I research identified two historical filling stations approximately 100 feet north and 200 feet southeast of the site. Based on nearby and potentially upgradient locations, previous filling station operations have been identified as a Phase I Recognized Environmental Condition (REC).

Terracon has recommended a limited subsurface investigation in response to the Phase I REC discussed above. Associated sample collection and analysis efforts are pending.
