Date of Report: June 17, 2008
Assessment Funding: EPA Petroleum Assessment Grant
Acres: 0.21

Site Background

The 1119 North Grant property currently includes a vacant, grass-covered lot with no on-site structures or improvements. Historical records document previous residential land use dating back to the early 1900s.

Phase II Findings

Terracon completed a limited subsurface investigation of the property in June 2008 to further assess the Phase I REC noted below. Associated field screening and laboratory testing did not identify potential soil contamination or groundwater concentrations above laboratory detection limits. Additional investigation of the property is not anticipated based on Phase II results.

Phase I Findings

Terracon Consultants Inc. completed a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) of the property in January 2008. Phase I research identified two historical filling stations approximately 100 feet north and 200 feet southeast of the site. Based on nearby and potentially upgradient locations, previous filling station operations were identified as a Phase I Recognized Environmental Condition (REC).
