The Municipal Facilities section maintains and provides for the repair of 74 publicly owned structures at a total of 598,046 square feet and administers contracts for trash collection, pest control, uniform rental, elevator, water conditioning, janitorial supplies, deodorizers, fire extinguishers and walk-off mats for all public buildings.

• The two oldest buildings are the Calaboose (original jail) built in 1874 and the Historic City Hall built in 1894.
• This section employs several skilled craft workers representing nearly all building trades (H/VAC, electrical, plumbing, millwork, masonry, painting, locksmithing, and roofers) to perform the necessary work.
