Health Education - Internship Program

The health department's internship program is designed to offer college level students, both graduate and undergraduate, an opportunity to gain work experience in local government. The program seeks to accomplish the following objectives:

• Promote collaboration with the academic community.
• Provide opportunity for students to receive valuable work experience in public health.
• Provide opportunity for students to network and meet many public health and community professionals.
• Allow health department programs the chance to identify potential future employees.
• Enhance students' performance while providing valuable job skills.
• Encourage students to complete valuable work products.
