Minority Health
The health department seeks to recognize and address health disparities that affect a variety of minority groups. Minority groups include, but are not limited to, ethnic minorities, individuals with disabilities, residents who are unable to read or speak English, and senior adults.
Services Offered
The health department provides the following services to any person living in Greene County:
- Tuberculosis skin testing
- HIV/AIDS and STD testing
- Pregnancy testing
- Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) nutrition education and vouchers
- Adult's and children's immunizations
- Literature and materials in a variety of languages
- Interpreters and/or translators in a variety of languages to assist clients with accessing our services

Tammy graduated from St. John's School of Nursing in 1995 and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2000 from the University of Missouri, St. Louis. She has worked in public health since 1997 and began working at the Springfield-Greene County Health Department in 2000. Tammy enjoys working with the community and clients that are served.
