- Bicycling and walking should be available in easily accessible linear
parks.
- Walking/biking paths need to be lighted, and should include nighttime
security patrols.
- Some public amenities like wading pools, swimming pool, play equipment,
simple stages with awning covers.
- Skateboards should be banned. They cannot safely be used where people
are walking.
- Civic Park needs a minor league baseball team and a stadium to go
with it.
- A bike trail should connect many parks, each with its own character
yet all tied together offering some form of activity for people of all
ages. I like the idea presented at the forum where different and distinct
sections of the park would allow a variety of experiences.
- Promote the multiple use of streets within the park for Regional and
National cycling races, "CRITERIUMS" & shy; short course circuit
race events.
