Permit Status

Welcome to the City of Springfield Permit Status online service. You may search by permit number or street address. Instructions for each are shown below. Building(BLD), electrical(ELE), excavation(EXC), fire suppression(FIS), gas(GAS), mechanical(MEC), plumbing(PLM), sign(SGN), storm water(STM), and wrecking(WRK) permit information are available at this time. The information is real-time as input by Building Development Service Department.

Permit Search

Instructions:

  • Enter in the Permit Number exactly. Example: BLD2011-00001.
  • To return all permits of a particular type, enter the permit type and year with a wildcard: Example: BLD2011*
  • Change the Date Range if needed. The Date Range is limited to 90 days.
    (Note: The smaller the date range is, the faster the results will be returned.)
  • Click the Search button to begin searching

Permit Address Search

Instructions:

  • Enter in the address information to search. The Street Name is required. Example: 123 S Main ST
  • If your search is not returning any results, try decreasing the number of parameters.
    Example: Instead of 123 S Main ST, try entering S Main
  • Change the Date Range if needed. The Date Range is limited to 90 days.
    (Note: The smaller the date range is, the faster the results will be returned.)
  • Click the Search button to begin searching.
