Long Range Topics

City Council Meetings
City Council meetings are open to the public and are typically held every other Monday at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers, located on the 3rd floor of Historic City Hall, 830 Boonville. Parking is available in lots east and west of Historic City Hall.

Public Attendance
The public may speak to topics indicated as first reading or public hearings. Speakers must register with the City Clerk to speak to an issue on the agenda. Remarks are limited to five minutes.
Council Lunch Workshops
Springfield City Council meets on selected Tuesdays at noon, in the Busch Municipal Building, 4th floor conference room, unless otherwise indicated. The building is located at 840 Boonville Avenue. Parking is available in lots east of the Busch Municipal Building.

Public Attendance
The public is welcome to attend, but are not allowed to speak, unless recognized to do so during the meeting.
Council Committee Meetings
City Council has 4 formal committees:
  • Finance and Administration
  • Plans and Policies
  • Community Involvement
  • Public Involvement
These committees have varying areas of responsibility and both send and receive referrals of issues to/from the full City Council.
