Is your business staying competitive in today's market? Do you have an employee that needs to be trained in the newest technology or someone who needs a certification to take on additional tasks? Would you like to train employees if you had the funding?

The JET program funds training for current, full-time employees and allows, you, the employer to choose the training and training provider!

What do you gain by training current employees?

  • Retention of good employees
  • Increased employee knowledge and productivity
  •  A more competitive position in the marketplace
  •  Enhanced employee commitment and morale

What is your obligation?

  • You must meet an in-kind match. An in-kind match may consist of additional training, salary, benefits, etc.
  • There must be some type of benefit or increase in pay provided to the employee at the end of the training.

Program Requirements

  • Training must be for an incumbent worker: full time, minimum 32 hours per week, having been employed for at least 6 months.
  • Preference will be given to the Ozark Region's target industries: business services, construction, healthcare, information technology, manufacturing, and transportation.
  • Training can be utilized for multiple employees.
  • Training must be completed before June 30, 2017.
  • The wage increase or access to company-provided benefits must begin within 60 days of training completion.
