Adult Art Classes

Easy Registration Steps

Download and print the class registration form.
Mail the form and your check to the Springfield Art Museum.
Please do not mail the form before the registration period.
Telephone and E-mail registrations cannot be accepted.

The Museum reserves the right to cancel any class due to insufficient enrollment. The Springfield Art Museum prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or age. No class registration refunds will be given after the first week of class.

Inclement Weather: Check with the Museum Educator about the status of classes.
Classes will be canceled if public schools are closed.

ADULT CLASSES will begin Saturday April 6.

PLEASE NOTE THAT FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE, SESSION ARE NOW FIVE WEEKS*
WITH THE EXCEPTION OF POTTERY, IN WHICH BOTH SESSIONS WILL BE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE ART
WORK.

ADULT CLASSES WILL MEET ONCE EACH WEEK FOR A TWO HOUR CLASS.

After we receive your registration form, we will send you additional information
to complete so we can help you if anything happens to you, or if you have special needs.
We will not be able to confirm your registration without this information.

SESSION I WILL BEGIN SATURDAY APRIL 6 AND RUN THROUGH THURSDAY MAY 9
SESSION II WILL BEGIN SATURDAY MAY 11 AND RUN THROUGH THURSDAY JUNE 13

REGISTRATION FOR ADULT CLASSES WILL BEGIN TUESDAY FEBRUARY 26 AND RUN UNTILCLASS BEGINS.
SESSIONS ARE DESIGNED TO BE COMPLIMENTARY; NOT REPETITIVE.
CLASSES WILL ALSO REMAIN THE SAME TIME FRAME EACH SESSION.

sATURDAYs:

PAINTING (ALL MEDIA/ALL LEVELS) WITH aSHLEY bYERS

Time: 10:30 - 12:30PM
Cost: $35.00 per session
Location: Watercolor Studio.
A painting class for students of all levels and using all media.
Demonstrations and individualized instruction.

Supply List

Pottery for adults with kendle durden

Time: 1:00PM - 3:00PM
Cost: $45.00 per session (both sessions required)
Location: Pottery Studio
Learn Hand Building and Wheel Throwing in this open studio environment.
Individualized instructions of techniques for all levels of development will
be provided. Construct and Glaze your own pottery.

Thursdays:

aDULT DRAWING (ALL lEVELS) WITH aSHLEY BYERS (CLASS CANCELED)

A drawing class for students at all levels. Learn new techniques and improve
upon your skills with Demonstrations and Individualized Instruction.

For all levels of students. Learn new techniques and improve upon your skills with
Demonstrations and Personalized instruction.

Can bring any materials plus pencil and paper to the first day of class.
The instructor will review materials needed on the first day.

THURSDAY EVENINGS:

ACRYLIC PAINTING WITH ASHLEY BYERS

Time: 5:45PM - 7:45PM
Cost: $35 per session
Location: Watercolor Studio
An acrylics class for students of all levels. Demonstrations and Individualized
instruction will be provided.

Advanced/ figure drawing with lynley farris

Time: 5:45PM-7:45PM
Cost: $35.00 per session
Location: Painting and Drawing Studio
A class for the serious student. Bring drawing materials and a large (18x24)
newsprint tablet to the first class. Instructor will discuss additional materials.
Sharpen your skills as you work with various human forms.

Pottery for adults with Patricia Ervin

Time: 5:45PM - 7:45PM
Cost: $45.00 per session (both sessions required)
Location: Pottery Studio
