To deny or grant a request to allow an off-premise detached sign to be placed in an area it would normally be excluded from due to provisions of the Springfield Zoning Ordinance.

To appeal the Director of Building and Development Services' determination that the storage and rental of moving trucks, as proposed by the applicant, is not a permitted use in the GR, General Retail District. The interpretation of Section 4-1302.WW of the Springfield Zoning Ordinance is in dispute.
