Site Description

The subject site occupies approximately 3 acres of vacant land listed as 2550 West Catalpa Street, Springfield, Missouri. Several areas of the property have been covered and graded with soil fill from residential construction to the north. Land use records do not document specific site improvements or historical development of the property.

Findings

Terracon Consultants Inc. completed Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) of the property in April 2008. Construction debris and miscellaneous trash were found on site during the Phase I reconnaissance. The wooded area directly south of the property also contained abandoned heavy equipment and salvage materials. These findings, however, were not identified as Recognized Environmental Conditions (RECs) that warrant further assessment.
