Utilizing the Museum's permanent collection, this exhibit compares and contrast a number of textile construction techniques through the juxtaposition of a variety of objects including a 17th century French tapestry, a Navajo rug, a Chinese jifu robe and an 18th century quilt.

This will be the 55th exhibition of Watercolor USA, a national, annual juried exhibition recognizing aqueous media painting. The event is open to artists from all 50 states and US territories judged for a variety of prizes and possible purchase by the Museum. Approximately $20,000 in cash and Museum purchase awards are available; top awards are $3,000, $2,000 and $1,500 cash. Additional cash awards are generously provided by the Watercolor U.S.A. Honor Society.

The Ozarks Green Building Coalition is a nonprofit organization incorporated in 2007. The mission of the Coalition is to promote green building by increasing public and professional knowledge and awareness of the benefits of green building.
Members of the Coalition include, among others, builders, contractors, appraisers, lenders, interior designers, landscape architects, real estate professionals, architects and engineers as well as representatives of Greene County and the city of Springfield, Missouri, Home Builders Association, U.S. Green Building Council and various environmental and conservation groups.
