Pension Sales Tax Questions Answered

The questions from the public about the pension sales tax issue continue to roll in to our forum. And they're all great questions. Here are few examples, paraphrased for brevity:

Why is the City responsible for funds lost in the stock market? Will the voters have to petition for the tax to be terminated? What kinds of purchases are subject to this sales tax? How will approval of the tax allow for the hiring of more police officers and fire fighters?

The answers are all posted in the forum threads, and we continue to work on more as they come in. If you have a question, any at all, about this issue, sign up for the forum (it's free, and should take just a minute or two) and fire away. If you don't feel like siging up, send us an e-mail and we'll post both the question and the answer in the forum.

The election is five days away, and we do not want to leave any question unanswered before Tuesday. Remember, you can browse a wealth of information on our elections page, including a flyer that serves a primer on the subject.
