Parkview School Traffic

As the Springfield Police Dept and City Management is aware, the school traffic to and from Parkview has been a huge problem for years and years. My home is on the NE corner of Linwood and Fort, and I have had numerous accidents, near misses, and injuries resulting from the careless driving practices of Parkview students (and parents). The posted speed limit is 30mph, but seldom will you find traffice below 45-50mph, and I have recorded speeds of over 60mph in this residential neighborhood. I am tired of Linwood being used as a racetrack, and I want to urge city council to do something about this growing problem. I cannot feel safe on my own property because of this problem. Of course, the police department needs to step up and have a "no tolerance" policy on the residential speed zones. If the speed zone is 25mph, and a car is clocked at 30mph, write a ticket....this 15mph over tolerence is unacceptable!!!

I think this is not only a situation in Springfield, but all over the country. I can think back to any and all areas I've lived in and it seems that it's always like this in school zones. It's sad that people don't respect the school zone.
