The Springfield Art Museum regularly features
exhibitions of works from the Permanent Collections.


Annual / Biennial Exhibitions:

Watercolor U.S.A. is the Springfield Art Museum's nationally known competition featuring some of the best-known artists and jurors. The event is open to artists from all 50 states and U.S. territories. Over one thousand entries from artists across the nation are received annually for consideration by the judge for a variety of prizes, and possible purchase by the Museum or its patrons. Organized in 1962, this event attracts thousands of visitors annually to the Museum and to Springfield to view the work of exhibitors.

Prints U.S.A.,

is a national, competitive exhibition instituted in 1999, held bienially at the Springfield Art Museum with the purpose of recognizing and encouraging original printmaking in the United States.

alternates with the

MOAK 4 State Regional Exhibition.
These alternating exhibitions take place during November - December.
