ADULT CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS

Students must be 18 years or older to take these classes unless the instructor agrees to an exception.

            

• BEGINNING WATERCOLOR CLASS:  La Monte Northington - CLOSED

Tuesday and Thursday 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Painting and Drawing Studio
$55 + Materials (Request supply list when registering.)
A watercolor class for students at the beginning and intermediate level. Demonstrations and individualized instruction

while you develop your skills in watercolor.

•ACRYLIC PAINTING CLASS: La Monte Northington
Tuesday and Thursday 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.  Painting and Drawing Studio

$55 + Materials (Request supply list when registering.)
Learn the basics of working with the acrylic medium. This class is for the beginning student and will introduce a variety of techniques. Students will sharpen their use of color and composition as they work from a still life.

DRAWING CLASS :  Jamie Agee
Tuesday and Thursday 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Watercolor Studio
$55.00 + Materials (Request supply list when registering.) Drawing for the beginning level artist. Various techniques of drawing will be included utilizing a variety of materials.

WATERCOLOR WORKSHOP: Jamie Agee
Thursday evening 5:45 p.m. - 7:45 p.m. Watercolor Studio
$27.50 + Materials (Request supply list when registering.) A watercolor workshop for students at the beginning level. Demonstrations and individual instructions while you develop your skills in watercolor.

• POTTERY WORKSHOP: Patricia Ervin - CLOSED
Thursday evening 5:45 p.m. - 7:45 p.m. Pottery Studio
$37.50 Materials included.
Learn hand building and wheel throwing in this open studio environment. Individualized instruction of techniques for all levels of development will be provided. Construct and glaze your pottery.

•FIGURE DRAWING WORKSHOP: Parker Asay Drawing Supplies
Thursday evening 5:45 p.m. - 7:45 p.m. Painting and Drawing Studio
$32.50 + Materials (Bring drawing materials and a large 18 x 24  newsprint tablet to the first class. Instructor will discuss additional materials.) Sharpen your skills as you work from the nude, human figure in a class for the serious student.

A class is designed to introduce young children to the exciting world of art. Stories, music, gallery walks and art projects will provide artistic experiences for preschoolers. Students attend the class without their parents.

ART IS ELEMENTARY: Nicole Stiles
1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Watercolor Studio
Grades K - 2
An introduction of the elements of art (line, shape, color, texture, and form) through working with clay, paint, paper, and found objects. Make art projects and learn how artists use the elements of art to create masterpieces.

BEGINNING DRAWING AND PAINTING Section I: Adrienna Murray
9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Drawing and Painting Studio
Grades 6 - 12 Create your masterpiece! Learn the basics of painting and drawing by working with a variety of materials.

11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Drawing and Painting Studio
Grades  K - 2
Create your masterpiece! Learn the basics of painting and drawing by working with a variety of materials.

1:30 p.m - 3:00 p.m. Drawing and Painting Studio
Grades 3 - 5
Create your own characters and develop stories using the basic elements of cartooning - drawing, inking and painting.
