Action Plan for the 2008-2009 Budget Year

Commitment to Public Safety

• Full actuarial recommended contribution to Police/Fire Pension Plan included in
  2008-2009 operating budget.
• Replacement of fleet vehicles for Police and Fire Departments.

Economic Development and Quality of Life

• Construction of a new mid-field terminal to open in the first quarter of 2009.
• Continue to identify opportunities for public/private partnerships.

Services to the Community

• Construction of a new wing at the Art Museum to open in the fall of 2008.
• Improvements to park facilities, development of trails, recreation facilities, school parks, and improvements to Dickerson Park Zoo.

Maintains Operating Reserves

• Projected 2009 ending fund balance should remain at the 8 – 10% goal.
