The assessments will be used as a planning tool to identify and target infrastructure improvements, and identify where housing services and assistance programs are needed. From these Assessment Workshops the NCO will produce a report for adoption by City Council. Final reports are distributed to all City departments and workshop participants for achieving priorities voted on during the Assessment. This planning process will encompass all the neighborhoods located within the City of Springfield. The Neighborhood Assessments process has been adopted by City Council as the vehicle for implementing the Vision 20/20 Neighborhoods Plan, which aims to stabilize or improve existing neighborhoods and to create sustainable attractive new neighborhoods.

The City of Springfield looks forward to your participation in achieving the goals of Neighborhood Assessments.

Call the NCO at 864-1031 to find out when an Assessment will be taking place in your area.
