Cosbench.exe is an executable, compressed file. It is self-extracting and allows you to place the 2 extracted files (bmstreet.dwg and cosbench88.mdb) in any directory you choose. The dwg file is an Autocad file and shows a schematic drawing of Springfield's streets. The benchmarks are shown and numbered to make them easy to find. The mdb file is a Microsoft Access Database file that gives all the information needed to find and use the new benchmark system. This system is in the 1988 Datum and differs from the old benchmark system by approximately 0.5 feet. We will have an interactive system that works like a GIS site in the future.
