First Unitarian Universalist Church Rain Garden Project

The First Unitarian Universalist Church Rain Garden Project at 2434 E. Battlefield was a partnership project between Storm Water Services and James River Basin Partnership. Funding was provided by a grant from the Community Foundation of the Ozarks Stewardship Ozarks Fund with construction provided by the Street Maintenance Division of Public Works.

This project was completed in September 2007. The rain garden catches runoff from the church parking lot, providing an estimated 26% reduction from a 1" rainfall. A variety of native plants were chosen and planted by church volunteers.
