Where is WIC?
WIC is administered at the Jordan Valley Community Health Center in Springfield as well as several satellite locations.
WIC Satellite Locations
We have several satellite locations, but appointments are necessary by calling 417-851-1581.
Bad weather policy – In the event Springfield Public Schools cancels classes, all Springfield satellite clinics will be closed as well as the Parents as Teachers program, Itsy Bitsy Yoga, and Prenatal Yoga classes. During bad weather, always call first to see if we are open!

Mary is the health department's WIC coordinator and has been with the department since 1998. Prior to accepting this positon she served as the department's health educator and the City of Springfield's Wellness @ Work coordinator. Mary has been teaching and working with groups and individuals to address a variety of health and community issues since 1981. Julie has a Bachelor's degree in Foods and Nutrition, Education and Psychology. She has been working for the WIC Program since 1989. She serves as the Senior Nutritionist/Lactation Consultant. In 2004 she became a board certified lactation consultant and enjoys helping moms learn how to feed their babies. Pam has been a nurse since 1976 years and spent 12 of those years as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. She has experience working in hospitals, WIC clinics and colleges as a childbirth educator, Lactation Consultant and clinical instructor. Pam worked with WIC in St. Louis for 12 years as the Breastfeeding Coordinator and Lactation Consultant. Mindy is a registered, licensed dietitian in the state of Missouri. She graduated from Missouri State University with a degree in dietetics. She began working for WIC in May of 2009. Kelly is a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor. She has worked for WIC office since October of 2006. She is currently attending college to get her degree in elementary education and is working toward being a lactation consultant. She feels all mothers can give their babies the best start by breastfeeding. I have an Associate of Arts from OTC and a Bachelor of Science with a teaching certificate in Vocational Family and Consumer Sciences Education from Missouri State University. I have been with WIC since March 2008 as a breastfeeding peer counselor. I am passionate about supporting families, specifically, giving moms support to feed their babies. Celestine has a Bachelors of Science Degree from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. She began working for WIC in January 2010. Celestine has worked with seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities and autism, as well as children in different healthcare and educational settings. Celestine has a passion for educating families and individuals about nutrition and loves to see them make informed choices and also help those around them do the same. She believes this will help them live the best life they could live.
