Q: What is a noxious weed?

A: Noxious weeds are plants that have been determined to be harmful to people or the environment. The location, size and species of the plant will determine if a plant is a noxious weed. Noxious and/or invasive weeds are determined by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), the Missouri Department of Agriculture (MDA) and the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC).
