Child care provider training and clock hours

Child care providers support the economy of our community through offering out-of-home child care for families. Our department offers free monthly educational opportunities for child care providers, parents and foster parents. Our classes provide a wide variety of information on health and safety topics.

In 2005, staff educated 93 children in child care facilties on proper hand washing. Nurses also provided health and safety education classes to 601 adults involved in child care.

Missouri Statute 210.211 requires a license to care for more than four unrelated children per address. Violation of the statute could result ina Class A Misdemeanor. Call (417) 864-6541 for more information.
