Inspect daycare facilities

Staff inspect the following kinds of daycares:

• Licensed daycare homes are those caring for six to ten children.
• Group homes care for 11 - 20 children.
• Centers care for more than 20 children.
• License exempt facilities are also inspected.

Inspections are conducted at least annually when requested by the Missouri Department of Health and Seniors Services' (DHSS) Bureau of Child Care.

Inspectors address food safety, handwashing, basic sanitation, safety and environmental concerns.
