What is pollen?
Pollen is a fine powder made by some reproducing plants. It is released into the air during the spring, summer and fall and is carried by the wind. Inside pollen are proteins that often cause people who breathe them in to have allergic reactions like sneezing, runny nose and itchy eyes. Pollen from grasses, trees and weeds are most often the ones responsible for causing allergies.
