PLANT OPERATOR II
-Option to underfill at Plant Operator Trainee level-
Performs in the capacity of a skilled operator in the operation of pure oxygen and air activated sludge plants.
Two years of college or vo-tech training in wastewater technology, chemical or biological sciences or a related area plus two years experience in the operation of an activated sludge wastewater treatment plant, or in a closely related area. Directly related work experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis. Must possess a valid MO Class “D” Wastewater Operator’s Certificate or equivalent; a Class “C” Wastewater Operator’s Certificate is desirable. Must obtain and maintain a Class “B” CDL with appropriate endorsements within the following guidelines: Pass written portion of exam within 90 days of employment and skills test portion within 120 days of employment. Must be able to work a variety of shifts; subject to emergency call-in.
$13.43 - $18.82 Hourly is complete Salary Range for Plant Operator II.
$10.06 - $14.71 Hourly is complete Salary Range for Plant Operator Trainee.
(Starting salary is typically at the beginning of the range depending on individual qualifications and budget authorization.)
