Snowfest is June 21, 2008
4–9 p.m. and FREE!

Who says summer can't have snow? The 7th annual SnowFest features a mountain of snow, live entertainment, military equipment, interactive games, snowman building contests, moonwalks for the smaller kids and fantastic giveaways. Bring the whole family and climb the mountain of snow. American Idol Season One runner-up Justin Guarini takes the stage at 7 p.m. For more information, call (417) 866-7444.

  • The Jordan Valley Park is great for groups of all sizes. Smaller gatherings such as weddings, reunions, and business meetings may reserve the East Plaza only. Larger, community events can reserve the ampitheater and stage. Call Jeff Cumley at 866-7444 to reserve.
  • The fountain now runs from 10 a.m. - 9:30 p.m. with 30 minute shows at the top of every hour. The stream runs continuously in season.

Rail Relocation/Development Project

Aug. 1, 2006 - In partnership with Center City revitalization efforts, the City of Springfield introduced a new multi-layered, 18-month development project involving the reconfiguration of rail lines in the West Meadows area of Jordan Valley and Railroad Crossing at three city locations. Details can be found at the Springfield Railroad Reconfiguration and Grade Separation Study site.
