- A logo for Civic Park color scheme.
- Put Civic Park on E-mail for updates and suggestions.
- Would like to see Civic Park named Jordan Commons.
- I not only see Civic Park as a place Springfieldians want to gather,
but a place where world leaders, musicians, writers, poets, will be
drawn to as well. Where masses of people will want to converge, but
also where an individual can feel welcomed. Provide and atmosphere that
would best facilitate a "quiet place" to retrieve from the
hectic pace of our society.
- There should be no attempt to emulate aspects of other communities.
- Using real, live projects related to the civic park can be wonderful
educational experiences for students in our educational institutions
can produce some exceptionally creative ideas for incorporation into
civic park. SMSU has partnered with Drury College's Hammons School of
Architecture students to guide us as we have made some strategic decisions
about our campus. The civic park enterprise should do likewise. Also,
there are some excellent educational institutions in Springfield which
have stellar programs which could and should interface with the civic
park project.
- SMSU's graphic design and computer animation programs are among the
best of their kind in the United States and boasts several international
stars in the arena of design When you look for logo and signage design,
you really should look to SMSU.
- The Springfield Sister Cities Association recommends that the Civic
Park Advisory Committee designate an area of the Civic Park as a Sister
Cities area, and to extend an invitation to Isesaki for participation
in the development of this area.
