Green Building Policy

On February 25, 2008, the City of Springfield adopted a Green Building Policy for construction and renovation of City-owned buildings.

Proposed policy presented to City Council as Council Bill 2007-315

10.2.2007

Jason Hartke, from the U.S. Green Building Council, made a Council presentation about the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System. Mr. Hartke also appeared on a TV23 Mayor's Roundtable.

2.8.2008

Community Involvement Committee met and recommended approval with modifications.
