Residential Loan/Grant Programs
The following loan/grant programs are available through the City of Springfield:
- Owner Occupied - provides the means and incentive for homeowners to undertake major upgrades and repairs
- HOME Loan Program - provides financing for the rehabilitation of rental housing which will be available to low income people at an affordable rent
- Sewer Assistance Program - defray the cost of Sanitary Sewer Installation and Connection for low and moderate income families.
- First-time Homeowner Downpayment Assistance (DPA)- funding for down payment and/or closing cost assistance for qualified first time home buyers.
Business Loan Programs
The following loan/grant programs are available through the City of Springfield:
- Downtown Area Environmental Review- Review Area of Potential Affects (APE) for the Downtown Area.
- Small Business Development Loan Program - Direct loans to small business owners, nonprofit organizations, and real estate developers within project areas for a range of activities.
- Facade Loan Program - promote and encourage rehabilitation of building facades within the Center City Target Area.
