For Immediate Release: Springfield Police Assist Lebanon Police

The Springfield Police Department is assisting the Lebanon Police Department in a murder investigation which took place at 1:30 a.m. this morning in their jurisdiction. Their agency informed the Springfield P.D. the possible suspect had returned to his residence in Springfield.

Officers responded to 1750 E. Cherry, apartment #23, and at 4:00 a.m. this morning made contact with the 23-year-old man. At the request of Lebanon P.D., he was detained without incident, and transported to the Springfield Police Headquarters. Lebanon Detectives arrived in Springfield this morning and are being assisted by our Criminal Investigations Section. Lebanon Detectives and Springfield officers will be at the apartment this morning to search for any potential evidence related to the crime in Lebanon.
