Inspections
Inspections of erosion and sediment control BMPs are required at least once per seven calendar days, or within a reasonable time period (not to exceed 48 hours) of a rainfall event which causes stormwater runoff to occur on-site.The operator/permittee should consider developing comprehensive inspection procedures to address conditions at their site. These procedures include: formal and informal inspections, inspections before, during and after rain events, targeting certain BMPs or areas more frequently, and training staff and subcontractors.
