The trail provides an amenity for the neighborhood and is part of the Vision 20/20 Open Space, Parks, and Greenways plan. Trees and vegetation help to shade and cool the stream and provide wildlife habitat and other benefits of a vegetated riparian corridor between National and Prospect.
Interpretive signage educates the public about the project and water quality protection.
