Counts & Crashes
The traffic engineering division conducts traffic counts to monitor traffic throughout the City. Various types of traffic counts are collected and analyzed, which include turning movement counts and traffic volume counts. Over 1,100 vehicular counts and over 40 turning movement counts are collected annually. Additionally, the division collects crash data for traffic studies.

The October 2009 Crash Report Card for traffic crashes from January 1 through October 31, 2009 shows 9 less fatality crashes compared to the same time period last year. The number of injury crashes is up by 3% and total number of crashes thus far in 2009 is slighty lower compared to the same period last year.
