Suspect charged in church burglaries

The Springfield Police Department is investigating multiple burglaries at area Churches and Storage Units. On Tuesday, November 19, 2013, Springfield Detectives, with the assistance of the Greene County Sheriff Department's SWAT Team, executed a search warrant at 3851 W. Farm Road 148 in Greene County and arrested Eric Stickney, 31.

The case was presented to the Greene County Prosecuting Attorney's Office. On November 20, 2013, Stickney was charged with three counts of 2nd Degree Burglary, one count of Felony Stealing, and one count of 1st Degree Property Damage, with a bond of $25,000. The investigation is ongoing and further charges are possible in the future.

The charges announced herein are merely an accusation, and Stickney is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
