Action on Council bills concerning downtown to be held over
Springfield Mayor Bob Stephens will request that four Council bills addressing issues in downtown Springfield be postponed until City Council's Jan. 27 meeting. The four, which address panhandling, tobacco use, skateboarding and food distribution, were scheduled for a second reading and possible action at the Jan. 13 meeting. Mayor Pro Tem Jeff Seifried will be out of town and unable to attend the Council meeting, so he requested that the Mayor request the four bills be tabled until he returns.
