Vandals Break Windows On 27 Vehicles

Over the weekend, police took at least 27 reports of car windows broken out. Most of the vehicles damaged were parked on the street but some were parked in driveways. Reports came from different geographical areas within the city and happened between 7:00 PM on Saturday and 7:00 AM on Sunday.

The incidents were outlined in the following police reports:

At this time there are no leads and the police are asking the public to call 864-1810 with any information about the incidents. The best form of protection is to secure your vehicles inside through the night. Since that is not always possible, the Springfield Police Dept. encourages citizens to keep some crime prevention tips in mind:
