Ozark Greenways Presents National TV Personality, Chris Balish

The public is invited to hear national television personality, author and journalist, Chris Balish, who will speak at Ozark Greenways’ 18th annual meeting this Thursday, February 12. The meeting will be held from 6 – 8 p.m., at Hammons Heart Institute Auditorium, 1235 E. Cherokee Ave., between National and Fremont.

Balish is expected to take the stage at 7:15 p.m.

Chris has appeared on and hosted many national television shows and publications, including The Today Show, NPR, CNN, the CW, Newsweek and many more, promoting his popular and insightful book, How to Live Well Without Owning a Car: Money, Breathe Easier, and Get More Mileage Out of Life. This great book shows how to beat high gas prices by driving less, and when driving is reduced, less gasoline is needed, alternative modes of transportation save money, reducing America’s dependence on foreign oil, lower toxic emissions and greenhouse gases helps the environment…as well as a free convenient way to pursue a healthy lifestyle.

Mr. Balish has experienced car-free living first-hand, as he found himself without a car and decided to stick it out. He found that it was very possible and really enjoys the benefits it brings to him financially, physically and conscientiously.

The evening will start with refreshments and social time, then some brief organizational business and onto our terrific speaker. We look forward to hearing what advice Chris has to share with Springfield!
