Traffic Signals on National Avenue Repaired

Traffic signals on National Avenue at Cherokee Street and Seminole Street that were damaged in an overnight tornado have been repaired and are fully functional ahead of evening rush hour traffic.

The overhanging arms of two traffic signals at the National and Seminole intersection were bent and had to be straightened by Public Works traffic signal crews. At the Cherokee intersection, two signal heads were replaced and rewired. The traffic signal shop’s full crew of seven employees began work on the repairs early this morning.

Motorists should be able to move through the intersections normally this evening.
