Flooding Causes Greene County Road Closures

Due to heavy rainfall, many low-laying Greene County are experiencing water over the road. Greene County roadways and intersections closed due to flooding this morning include:

This list will be updated as needed.

Several vehicles have been reported stalled after attempting to drive in flooded areas today. Motorists are reminded to “Turn around, don’t drown.” Never drive into a flooded roadway. Even a small amount of water can stall or carry away a vehicle. When a roadway is immersed, it is very difficult to estimate its depth, especially at night. Flooding can also conceal damaged road surfaces, culverts, railings and debris.
