Stabbing Suspects Arrested
Two Springfield men have been arrested in connection with a stabbing that occurred yesterday morning.
Springfield Police detectives arrested Kevin Calip, 36, and Chaudray R. Carr, 27, of Springfield just before noon yesterday. Carr and Calip have been charged with 1st degree Assault in connection with the stabbing of Darren Wilson, 21, of Springfield.
Police were called to the Kum-N-Go at 1505 N. National just before 8:00 a.m. when Wilson was attacked. During the attack he received several cuts consistent with knife wounds. Wilson was transported to a local hospital and treated for non-live threatening wounds and released.
