FREE Senior Health Fair at Northview Center

The Springfield-Greene County Park Board will host its annual Seniors Health Fair from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 3 at Northview Center, 301 E. Talmage Ave.

The event is free and open to the public, and will feature more than 20 agencies whose services support seniors 55 years and older. Agencies will range from life insurance and hospice to Alzheimer’s information. Basic health screenings, such as blood sugar, hearing and depression testing will be available. Shingles and H1N1 immunizations will be given, as well as massages. There is no fee to seniors for any of the services provided.

The Northview Center is open from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Mondays through Fridays, and offers activities for seniors, such as exercise and fitness opportunities, billiards, tax preparation assistance, Senior Share discussion forums and a lunch program.
