Signal at Kimbrough & Cherry Becomes Two-way Stop

The Kimbrough Avenue at Cherry Street traffic signal will be turned off and setup as a two-way stop controlled intersection starting at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 to accommodate signal base repairs on the southwest corner of the intersection.

Advanced warning flags will be installed for eastbound and westbound traffic on Cherry Street in advance of the intersection to notify approaching motorists that they must stop and yield to traffic on Kimbrough Avenue. Stop signs will also be placed on Cherry Street at the intersection with Kimbrough.

Following the repairs, the traffic signal will return to full operation on Wednesday, March 24, weather permitting.
