1st Degree Arson Charges Filed

David A. Williams, 26, has been charged with 1st Degree Arson regarding a fire that killed three Springfield children. Police arrested Williams yesterday afternoon regarding the intentionally set fire that occurred early Monday morning at 1711 W. Olive.

Alexis M. Watson, 7, Devin L. Watson, 4, and Kelsey D. Watson, 5, all died as result of the fire. Terrie L. Watson, 48, received critical injuries in the fire and is still hospitalized.

A press conference will be held at Police Headquarters, 321 E. Chestnut Expressway, at 3:30 p.m. today.

The Greene County Prosecutor reminds members of the media that a charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
