Earth Day Activites in April

Springfield will observe a number of events, activities and volunteer opportunities related to the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day throughout the month of April.

This year’s events will be listed and updated at: www.OzarksEnvironment.com

This weekend’s activities include a South Creek Greenway clean-up event from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, April 10; and a Lake Springfield Volunteer Glade/Trail Work Day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, on Lake Springfield’s north shore. More details for both events are included at OzarksEnvironment.com

The actual Earth Day is on Thursday, April 22, with a number of events listed on the Web site.
