Public Meeting for East Republic Road Connector

The City of Springfield’s Planning Department and Public Works Department will hold an open house public meeting in the lobby of the Busch Municipal Building, Central and Boonville, 4-6 p.m. on Thursday May 13, 2010, to review alternative alignments for the East Republic Road Connector between Glenstone Avenue on the west to U.S. 65 on the east. This meeting will allow the community to review and give input on the alternative alignments for the purpose of determining a preferred alignment for official mapping of the corridor. The meeting has been advertised in the affected area.

The East Republic Road Connector will be designed and constructed using major arterial standards for a four-lane divided roadway with control of access per major arterial standards. The connection to Glenstone Avenue will be at a point south of the James River Freeway bridge and the connection to U.S. 65 will be via a new interchange located south of the existing Gasconade bridge.
