Council Meeting Cancellation Causes Special Meeting

Mayor Jim O’Neal and the Springfield City Council have cancelled the next regularly scheduled City Council meeting on the evening of Tuesday, June 1. Reasons for the cancellation include: several Council members are unable to attend; the meeting was scheduled for a Tuesday night due to the Memorial Day holiday; and no high-profile bills or public hearings were on the agenda.

However, three time-sensitive bills require a vote before the next regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, June 14. For this reason, a special City Council meeting will be held at noon on Wednesday, May 26, in the fourth floor conference room of the Busch Building. The agenda can be viewed online at: www.springfieldmo.gov/calendar/2010/5-24-10/26councMeet.pdf
