Four-way Stop Begins June 23 at Kimbrough & Montclair

The City of Springfield will change traffic control at the intersection of Kimbrough Avenue and Montclair Street from the current two-way stop to a four-way stop beginning at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, June 23, 2010.

The four-way stop is needed to improve safety for pedestrians and motorists on Montclair Street crossing Kimbrough Avenue. There have been twenty crashes reported at this intersection in the last two years. The new four-way stop will add a stop requirement for northbound and southbound Kimbrough Avenue.
