Greene County Surveying Residents' Disaster Preparedness

The Springfield-Greene County Office of Emergency Management is conducting an online survey to evaluate the residents’ level of disaster preparedness.

The 45-question survey covers several disaster preparation topics, like tornado awareness, first aid training and community involvement.

“We’re asking as many Springfield and Greene County residents as possible to visit our website and fill out our survey,” said Ryan Nicholls, Director of the Springfield-Greene County Office of Emergency Management. “It takes less than five minutes to complete and is completely anonymous.”

The results of the survey will be used to gauge the community’s general level of preparedness as well as identify specific areas needing improvement.

The survey is being conducted as a partnership between the Office of Emergency Management, the Greater Ozarks Chapter of the American Red Cross and Missouri State University.

The survey is available at www.greenecountymo.org/oem and will remain active until Oct. 1.
